Top Navigation and Maps Apps in France Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the leading navigation and maps applications in France showed diverse trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 106.9K in late May. Its weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising from 16.5M at the start of April to a high of 19.1M by the end of June.

Google Maps maintained a steady performance, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 56.6K and 71.5K. The app's active user base grew gradually, reaching over 41.7M by the end of the quarter.

For Polarsteps Travel, weekly downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight uptick to 53.1K in the last week of June. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 586K in mid-April and ending the quarter at 542.5K.

Google Earth experienced a consistent download rate, ranging from 29.5K to 36.6K weekly. Active users showed some volatility, with a high of 910.8K in mid-April before settling at 771.7K by the end of June.

Finally, Visorando Walking Routes demonstrated a diverse performance with downloads peaking at 36.1K in late April. The app's revenue trend was upward, culminating at approximately $42.9K in the final week of June, while active users reached a high of 905.9K in late April.
